Kinder Shul, 3-8 year olds

KinderShul from 10:00 am to 11:45 am for 3 to 8 year olds while parents attend services.

The group leader is Benny Berlin, an educator and youth leader who inspires children with his warmth, humor, and devotion. His boundless commitment to this youth group has changed what could have been a glorified babysitting service to a versatile learning experience.

He teaches tefillah and Parshat Hashavua in fun and engaging ways, which include putting on dramatizations of Talmudic and Hasidic stories to inspire his young students. The participants develop not only age appropriate awareness of ideas and concepts from the parsha, but also are able to cap off their Shabbat morning experience by concluding the service with their enthusiastic version of Adon Olam.

Children are encouraged to come together at the conclusion of Shabbat Services at the front of the sanctuary to sing Adon Olam and receive a treat.  It’s a gorgeous sight when they take over the bima steps and, with the beaming smiles, raise their voices and a bit of the roof in energized song.

Come to the Kinder Shul. Your kids will surely be impacted with a love of Torah, Jewish values and community.
